Terms of
Service

Last updated: September 2026. AssayChain is operated by Quetzal Collective LLC, Missoula, Montana. Questions: hello@assaychain.com.

The service

AssayChain structures unstructured mineral data — assay certificates, drill logs, and geology documents — into machine-readable JSON, and records a cryptographic provenance proof linking each output to its source. Access is via a metered API (per-call micropayment or credit bundles) and an enterprise license.

Assistive, not authoritative

Extraction and derived intelligence are assistive screening tools. An attestation confirms source, authenticity, and normalization — it does not certify that geological or assay values are true. Any use in a regulatory filing, reserve estimate, or investment decision requires review by a Qualified Person / Competent Person. Nothing on this site constitutes legal, financial, or regulatory advice.

Payments and refunds

Pricing is per-call or per credit bundle, paid by credit card or machine-to-machine micropayment. Extraction is graded A–D on a published rubric; a Grade D extraction triggers an 80% refund. If you believe any extracted value diverges from its attested source, report it and we will issue a full refund plus a credit bounty (see the data-error bounty on our pricing page).

Provenance and retention

Attestations and content-addressed source references are permanent by design. API re-fetch of paid artifacts is available for 30 days after purchase. Receipts remain re-derivable from settlement records even after cached copies expire. Source content referenced by an attestation is pinned for at least 5 years, with a fallback host, so a verified record remains fetchable.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service to misrepresent attested data, to circumvent the payment gate, or for any unlawful purpose. You are responsible for the documents you submit and warrant you have the right to process them.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quetzal Collective LLC disclaims all warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions made in reliance on assistive outputs.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
